It combines the visual splendor of spectacular architecture with magical elements that blur the line between reality and fantasy. The series follows Meg Summers, a successful but emotionally closed-off architect who has constructed her life with the same precision she brings to her buildings. When she discovers a mysterious note with coordinates in a rare architecture book, she impulsively travels to Kauai, where she meets Silas, an enigmatic man who needs her to design a structure to house "guardians" for generations.
At the heart of this community is the Touchstone—a magical stone that has kept Silas alive for 120 years and balances the world's energy. As Meg designs the magnificent Ha'alulu Maika'i complex, she discovers the builders are actually talking animals with specialized skills.
